We are an ecclesiastical, creedal, classical Christian learning community. As Scripture teaches, faith comes by hearing.

We encourage families to commit to attending chapel and Scripture study. Families do not need to be Lutheran however, should regularly attend their own church services.

Mission Statement

Luther Latin School (LLS) exists to partner with parents in their role as caregivers and educators, guiding students in the time-honored classical Christian tradition. Our mission is to equip families with wisdom, courage, and growth, empowering them to deepen their faith, expand their knowledge, and cultivate the ability to think critically and live honorably in the vocations God has designed for them. We believe that a classical education is the most effective way to nurture the mind, body, and soul of every child.

For parents, LLS seeks to provide:

  • Academic instruction that supports parents in fulfilling their biblical responsibility to “train up a child in the way he should go” (Prov 22:6). Time-tested curricula, along with comfort and encouragement as parents undertake this important task.

  • Spiritual and practical support through prayer, sharing classical educational resources, and offering the gifts and talents God has given to help one another.

  • A nurturing environment that fosters relationships among children and adults, cultivating a community that honors the Lord.
  • Resources such as articles, books, videos, and podcasts on classical education to enhance home learning and co-op engagement.

Mentorship in class management and other key areas of educational leadership.

For students, LLS strives to provide:

  • An increased ability to comprehend a broad range of knowledge, expanding their academic abilities within a community that encourages and strengthens their faith.
  • Encouragement toward excellence, guidance in manners, and opportunities to learn how to love and serve others. We create a bit of healthy tension through high expectations, reminding ourselves that "We can do hard things," and witnessing the strength that comes from this challenge.
  • Opportunities for memorizing Scripture, poetry, and speeches to deepen their understanding and retain wisdom.
  • Instruction on what is Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, teaching that these are objective and not relative concepts.
  • Consistent opportunities to engage with peers and teachers, learning the importance of respecting authority and cultivating community.
  • Activities that would be impractical or impossible to carry out at home on our own, offering unique opportunities for growth.

This is because we use Memoria Press curriculum as well as the classical method which ensures our children acquire the ability to discern truth, goodness and beauty. It also grants our hybrid program specific educational and financial benefits.
